The Saint Gertrude Abbey is a direct descendant of the Klein Begijnhof
(Little Beguinage). The buildings, constructed between the 14th and 17th centuries,
have since been restored and presented as a residential complex.
After the abbey is located in the Saint Gertrude Church, the new building will be built
between the 13th and 15th centuries.
