This sculpture commemorates the victims of the Terezín (Theresienstadt)
concentration camp in the Czech Republic. Terezín was a fortified town used
by the Nazis as a concentration camp and ghetto during World War II.
The monument depicts emaciated figures, symbolizing the hardship and
suffering of the prisoners.
