A truly Unique 935, another twin turbo customer car built in 1978, raced by Franz Konrad. Sold in 1979 to Volkert Merl, who had it converted to 935L body specifications with raised roof and smooth fenders derived from the factory's 935/77 FIA works cars. It was campaigned in German championship series by Merl with Liqui Moly sponsorship. In 1980 Merl brought “0014” to Daytona for the season opener and with the assistance of Reinhold Joest and Rolf Stommelen won the event outright! “0014” was immediately purchased by Gianpiero Moretti, who campaigned it for several years before selling it to Chet Vincentez with Electrodyne backing. Vincentez had “0014” converted to a single plug 934 and raced it in IMSA's GTO category where it was subsequently damaged in a fire and sold.
