INTRODUCTION – CUBA

The following photos are from travelling in Cuba during the summer 2005. The pictures are from areas around Pinar del Rio in north-east, Cienfuegos and Trinidad.
Camaguey and Bayamo are very charming and Santiago de Cuba is the carnival city located in south-east.
The capital Havana is an attraction by itself.

Fidel Castro introduced the communism in 1959. He can not plead himself for developing Cuba in to a big success. The Communism shares everything in to equal.
In Cuba they also got a trade blocking from USA, which put everybody into having nearly nothing….

As a European tourist you feel it is like going back to the 1950’s. The time has stopped. Transportations are the same and many of the houses telling about a fallen well off time.
Cuba missing out maintenance and developing. The countryside’s are worn out and modern machineries are not existing.

But the Cuban people are very nice and always smiling, charming and always dancing the salsa rhythms.
There is music all over, the clime is attractive and stress is unknown.
