Weather seasonally warm (mid 70s) with most of the wildlife deep in the forest. Color rather subdue until late in the week there was rain and a cold front...then the colors came out as if the Lord had dipped His paintbrush into several colors and splashed against the forest and streams.
One gallery within here is that of Gatlinburg's annual Halloween gathering. On that night the local merchants have free candy at the door for those youngsters stating "trick or treat". Tourists and locals of the area get into costume for the fun. Each year more and more out-of-town folks bring a costume for the evening of fellowship with others. One interesting event is a local lady who dresses up as a "good" witch, sit on a bench in the "Village" and gives out candy. She has been enjoyed doing this for over thirty years.
