Started checking on the Osprey nests along Guntersville Lake and soon the Wheeler Lake area. The largest nest which was on top of an old duck hunting blind has been torn down, but two of the river marker nests are active and three nests where found in the tops of dead trees along the shoreline. Only one nest, as of this date (06/26/08) had young one and surprizingly there were three healthy young ones just about ready to fly. A good sign for the population of Ospreys.
