Early in the cold morning (22 degF.)while photography migrating waterfowl am immature started the quest for breakfast. The following photos are in sequence as it entered the area where Mallards and PinTails were Wintering thru the search for the right duck and the quick exit as the Crows gave chase. While the actual "pluck" was not captured, the sequence does show the lack of hunting skills an immature eagle has during his tenure as a youth and non-mating Bald Eagle. Distance from the blind to the event's closest point about 500 yards.
