During the early Spring, the "community" garbage cans were being rifted on a regular basis. While suspecting the possibility of a racoon or oppossum, I never could pin the culprit in the act. So I installed snap-locks on the lids of the cans and the problem stopped. Lately, the bird feeders have been being robbed of large amounts of feed overnight.......sooooooooooo......a constant light source was installed and last night I caught a look at our "thief". I called to it, it looked at me and walked about 5 feet away...then looked back and I instructed it to leave....which it did..in a very aluff manner as it would glance over it's shoulder to see if I was still standing on the porach. Tonight, I notice the racoon back...so I took photos of it from one side of the house.....as it recognized me...it went ran towards the other side, so I swung aroung to meet it and it doubled back to continue feeding....and....that is where the other two photos come into play. It left as the flash popped several time. Now as I was loading these 4 photos, this vane creature came back to the "scene of the crime" once more to feed...so I place a shot across it's bow and it left hurriedly. It will be interesting to see at what time tonight, this thief of all thiefts will return for those tidbits of sunflower seeds. Enjoy this and the other three photos. I am sure there will be more if I am a judge of Rocky Racoon.
