It appears that the feeding frenzy has begun among the hummers in the North Alabama area. At one time this evening at least 15 hummers were spotted feeding at four feeders. No longer are these mighty warriors competing for nectar rights. Once their energy and weight factor has been obtained these little birds will move towards Mobile Bay and then from there make a non-stop flight across the Gulf of Mexico. By the end of September, these entertaining birds will be gone until next Summer.
