A Southern Woods Scorpion, believed to be a subspecies of the Vaejovid Family of Scorpions, Note the two pairs of eyes on each side of the head (with one pair in the center front. This insect is common in many rural homes and will hunt spiders. Stinger is located at the tip of his tail. This scropion is traveling with tail extended since it is not in an aggressive or defensive position; then the tail would be curled ready for lashing out the stinger at the target.
