This morning was cool and windy. Three Drake Mallards were asleep on the dock and when I went down to it, suddenly they flew a few feet into the lake. I managed to shoot (i.e. photograph) two of them.....this one and the next photo documents the second. Like all surviving water birds without mates, each flew a different pattern so predator would have to choose and two would survive.
