Pictured in this photograph is a Franklin'sGull along with a Common Loon who is going underwater to catch minnows. Interesting enough was the fact that the Franklin's Gulls would wait until the Loons had found a school of minnows and the the Gulls would try to steal fish or chase the Loons away from the minnow school. The total number of Gulls viewed was nine.
