This is the same view but about 10 months after the secondary ridge fires from the Gatlinburg tragedy. Those trees that have no leaf life are now totally dead and will not produce but in years and years will finally rot down.....that is unless the Park Service cuts them down and so new tree sprigs can be planted and undergrowth can be planted to head off erosion.
