Before the morning sun rose over the hill, the feeder area is in the shade. This little hummer is checking out a spider's web wove just below a feeder. Since a spider is a deadly predator due to their poisonous bite the hummer is being extra careful so as to not get stung and then die. As the morning went on several of the hummers dismantled the spider's web so it would not hamper their flight or cause younger birds to get caught with spider spinage on their wings.
