Several years ago there was an incident where a kidnapped man in Birmingham was able to get his hand out of a car's trunk and signal for help when a news photographer spotted the hand and got the man from the kidnappers and also posted a photo in the paper of the incident. From time to time there are people who mimick this incident and fortunately I was behind one of those persons the othe day. The hand is not real.
