"Remo is a 9 month old Lab/Golden Cross who is living for his 1st year of life with Ann, a volunteer puppy raiser for CCI (Canine Companions for Independence). CCI is a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships.  
Remo was born in Idaho in May '01, joined Ann when he was 8 weeks old in Minnesota and is currently enjoying the life of a snowbird in Arizona. He will be turned in for 6 months of Advanced Training in August '02 and hopefully placed with someone with a disability other than blindness in February '03."
