We saw Thumbelina in northern Virginia, one of her many stops on a summer tour of 48 states. Her goal is to raise $1,000,000 for children's charities and many of her visits are to children's hospitals all over the country.
Thumbelina, who lives in Missouri, is a dwarf minature who stands about 17 inches tall and weighs 57 lbs.
On this day of our visit, we never saw a moment when a child's hand was not petting her and arms hugging her.
