Indian Village Trading Post

72 E. Congress

June 12 UPDATE: The city council voted: The Indian Village building will be saved but the little Cafe Poca Cosa building beside it will be demolished, due to new Homeland Security rules.(The federal courthouse is right beside it.) The good news: The Cafe will be relocated to another downtown site.

"The city bought this building along with Cafe Poca Cosa Restaurant, the former Thrifty Drug, and Fields' Jewelry from the U.S. government last year for $1.

Built in 1897, The Indian Village is on the National Register of Historic Places and will be saved from demolition.
The Cafe Poca Cosa site is about 85 years old.
