Gleeson Hospital

on the Ghost Town Trail, south of Courtland

Located in the Dragoon Mountains, the Gleeson area's hills have been mined for turquoise, lead, copper, and silver for many years. Named after Irishman John Gleeson who prospected the area, the post office closed up for the last time in 1939. There are several buildings left to see.
