Neat old house front! love the southwestern 'flavor' of color and cacti in front, and the palitos made as a venetion-blind sort of.
I remember quite a few of ol' timey houses around that neighborhood, and also on Court St. where Mr. Gallardo ran a print shop from his/their home. Had 4 daughters and a son or two -most all gone by -except Vivian. Haven't heard from Isabel in quite awhile now, but we both worked at Tsn.Carnegie Public Library or I introduced her in -before I left it -when I married. Also, a friend of ours -Aurora. Another friend, Teresa Longoria who lived next to St.Augustine Cathedral on Stone Ave. near downtown Tsn. We belonged to the choir there. Ms.Isabel Baffert was choir leader. The bakery I remember was Ronquillo's Bakery on Broadway a block from Plaza theatre nearby. Also, a White House Dept. store on Congress St. nearby.

this is 661 S. Main Ave, does anyone know when this building was built? or any history behind the house, family or name of house? when looking at the Sanborn maps it showed this residence as a Bakery. Does anyone know more about this? the name of the Bakery, etc?
