These are Inca structures, presumed to be burial towers. They are built of beautifully carved stonework. Each tower has a room you can crawl into through a tiny entrance in the bottom. The roof of the room is about six feet high and is dome shaped. There are four large chullpas in Acora, largely ignored by the village inhabitants. They can be seen from the main highway between Bolivia and Puno.
