SOLD: '99 Touring Twinscrew Ubercharger Street Mod 2 #147
Congratulations to Glenn Ellingson of San Jose, CA for becoming Sim's new dad.
Street Modified 2 1999 Mazda Miata, Twinscrew Supercharged (Sim)
This is the prototype car for the Flyin Miata twinscrew Ubercharger system now available on the market. Before the stroker engine was installed, the 1.8L engine was dyno'd at 270hp/230tq at the wheels using 93octane pump gas. The car has not been dyno’d after the 2.0L stroker engine was installed but is capable of the 330-350hp mark even with 93octane pump gas. Use 100+ race gas to bump the ignition timing to achieve those higher marks much easier. It is currently not tuned to that mark as that would just smoke the 225/50R15 Kumhos in the rear on corner exit.
Power steering has been retained but the a/c has been removed for weight savings. The car weighs 2211# in competition trim (1/4 tank gas with race wheels).

2002 SM2 National Championships – 4th
2003 SM2 National Championships – 4th
2005 SM2 National Championships – 6th
2005 SM2 Pro Solo Finale and Season Overall – 4th
Multiple National Tour wins including Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, El Paso, Denver, Arkansas
Multiple Pro Solo trophies including Dallas, Atlanta, Toledo, Topeka
Multiple Southwest Divisional Series wins in SM2 (and CSP back in ’00 and ’01)
This car is capable of regional event TTODs and is proven to be a National Series contender. With the right driver it can challenge for the Solo II Championship win, as well. The car is extremely fast, reliable and easy to drive. It can put down some blistering times on a solo course and then drive to your local dragstrip to put down mid-12s in the quarter.
To duplicate this car from scratch would cost double the asking price. It breaks my heart to put this car up for sale as I have owned it since new in March of 1998 and have debated with myself for over a year whether to sell it. Since the new emissions laws in Texas, the car is no longer street legal, but may be inspected in your state or county without any problem, you may have to consult your area emissions laws. This car is being sold AS-IS as a race-ready-only car.
