The Hunebedden are prehistoric rock formations that date back to around 3000 BC. These huge granite
stones have been dragged to this place and piled up to from a massive rectangular gravesite. There
are 52 in the Drenthe province and 2 in the adjacent province of Groningen. The mystery is that there
are no mountains or huge rocks in Drenthe. It is theorized that Scandinavian hunters
settled into the area and brought the huge rocks with them.
