This photo was taken while on a survey of the Mountain Bluebird boxes. Each year, the local Audubon chapter makes a survey of the routes, including repairing boxes where possible. On this day only two of the boxes of the many we surveyed had bluebirds (most were being used, but by Tree Swallows). We were just one group of several doing surveys. I have a flip LCD on the camera I was using (Canon Pro90IS) and was able to capture this photo. Taken on the dated listed here, in the Wasatch Mountains, east of Pineview Dam, Cozie Dam, going on the road to Monte Cristo.
