This outdoor art exhibition at Norfolk Botanical Gardens features more than 70 large stone sculptures created by Zimbabwe artists. “Mutambo” depicts art, beauty and the people of the African continent. Through their work, the artists believe “spirits are being freed from the stone.” The sculptures were shipped from the famous Shona Sculpture Park in Zimbabwe. The name of this summer exhibit at the Garden is Mutambo, which in the Shona language means “celebration”.
