The 3rd Annual State Wide Work Party took place in the Eastern Pasayten Wilderness. This year’s work started on July 1st with jobs and activities for all present. BCHW partnered with WTA to pack in work crews deeper into the wilderness along the Canadian border. We were faced with several trails that were impassable to stock but by week’s end had cleared approx. 42 miles of wilderness trails and done an impressive amount of water bar and tread work. This year’s camp came fully outfitted with an awesome kitchen crew as well as a person on Forest Service radios who made sure that everyone checked in at day’s end.
