Photos from Feb 16, 2015
No snow at all. There were people sunning on the beach and one camper had gone swimming in the lake.
Eight smaller windfalls in the wilderness between the trailhead and lake, none in the non-wilderness between trailhead and lake.
Five windfalls along the lake in non-wilderness, one 42" crossing both the Packwood Lake and Upper Lake Creek trails.
One in wilderness along lake, I did not check to the end of the lake.
The pipeline road is open except to one partly blocking on trail near lake where the cat road bypass is.
3-14-15 Update:
The upper trail is clear from the trailhead to the lake.
The Upper Lake Creek Trail was surveyed. From the wilderness boundary to about half mile from the southeast end of the lake there are five windfalls. 30" hemlock, 18" fir, rotted chucks, 14" cedar and a 10" cedar. The last half mile to the end of the lake is clear and in good shape.
3-27-15 Update:
The Packwood Lake trail is cleared to just below Mosquito Lake with a few smaller and one larger (about 3') windfall blocking the trail there. The Upper Lake Creek Trial is cleared along the lake to the SE end of Packwood Lake.
