Denny Dargon Outstanding Service

Denny has over twenty years of dedicated service this goal. He is in his real life a retired Pierce County Deputy Sheriff, he served his country in Vietnam as a medic, father of two and grandfather to future BCHW packers. When anyone of the many government agencies or volunteer groups that he has helped was contacted to request a letter from them, defining his service to them, they jumped at the chance.

Denny is the BCHW member we all should aspire to be. Always ready to jump in to lend hand and supporter of any and all trail user groups. He spends his summers in the saddle spread between the Olympic Mountains and the Cascades backing up this support as a packer for any one of them that needs his skills. The Dargan has been called Mr. BCHW for all of the right reasons. At the annual meeting when he was awarded this special recognition, all that knew him were very pleased with the judges’ decision. Our organization could never get beyond the front offices without the efforts of the Denny Dargans.
