The Leo Triplet consists of the three galaxies of M65, M66 and NGC 3628. They are located about 35 million light years away. The three galaxies are all classified as spirals, with two that are near edge-on

Place: Texas Star Party, Ft. Davis, TX
Telescope: Orion 80ED at f/7.5 FL 600mm
Mount: Tak EM-10 Guided in RA with ST-80 and SBIG 237 CCD
Camera: Canon 300D - Modified. Also used Front Mount Hutech IR Cut Filter
Camera control with Images Plus (IP)
Exposures: 11 at 3 min each (total of 33 mins) ISO 800
Processing:
Calibrated, aligned and combined (Sigma Clipped Avg) in IP
Levels, Curves and gradient processing in Photoshop CS
Conditions:
Seeing 9 of 10/ Transparency 9 of 10/ Mag 7 skies
Ambient temp ~55*F
