Mayan Temple I. by Christopher Bellinger (American. b 1980) This work drew from Christopher Bellinger's
travels to the Yucatan Pennisula of Mexico earlier in the century where he explored Mayan ruins.
Bellinger was able to explore ruins that few others had seen. (During his venture a close
associate received a head injury.)
This construct includes many features of ruins unseen by other explorers.
The work was exhibited in January 2008 at the Orlando Museum of Art
and was one of a very few architural works there at the time.
Wood; brown, tan and green paint.
