I was surprised to see a Catalpa here. I didn't know there were species other than the ones here
in the US - Catalpa bignonioides, Southern catalpa, and C. speciosa, Northern catalpa
*I'm not sure what species this is but C. bignonioides, C. speciosa, and C. ovata (Chinese or yellow catalpa)
have all be planted as ornamentals outside of their respective ranges and this has apparently
allowed the hybridization of C. bignonioides and C. ovata (Catalpa x erubescens)
