02-14 Valentine's Day 8297

My wife has been gone for a couple of weeks caring for grand-daughers under Covid.
The main furnace died earlier in the week and I am heating the main level with a gas fireplace and a box fan.
Other than that I am still a very lucky man.

Very creative, we've had several days since the first of the year colder than minus 20°F so far the furnace is working well.

Gas fireplaces certainly come in handy IF you leave the pilot light on EVEN THOUGH you rarely use them. Without that pilot light they will probably stop igniting and you have to have professional service to clean their igniting system unless your body is able to turn into a pretzel to get down low and clean it yourself! Hope the fan worked well. Instead of useing the gas fireplace when I want heat I turn on a couple of the gas burners on my cooktop and it certainly gets toasty in the area where we eat! Hope your furnace is up and running soon.
