I booked myself on a whale research trip, mostly to spend more time out on the water than with the commercial carriers. The day was ok, but I just can't seem to shake the clouds this year. The whales were there, but not doing much of interest. The smaller boat afforded a lower view, and the 5 foot swells put the whales over-head on occasion.
