Thanks Rebecca for your interest.The image was taken about 10 o`clock in the morning.The mountain ridge had a very bright light by reflecting the light in the snow so the other darker parts seems so black.The slide film I used cannot reproduce the reality of such high contrast.

This is an amazing image. The mountain appears semi-abstract and almost surreal. How did you isolate the mountain ridge and create such dramatic shadow? Was this taken at night?
