This detail of a Rock one would not expect in a series about Syndey. Yet, I do believe, this detail reminds us of the origins this city was build on and therefore it can not be discarded.

You're absolutely right. THis sandstone was the basis of many fine buildings in Sydney, almost from the time of first settlement. A worthy subject for Sydney.
