Bass Rock

Bass Rock, North Berwick

The other morning, I was out walking the dog and a beautiful sunrise appeared over the Bass Rock. Of course, I did not have my camera with me....aaarggh!

So this morning, I got up early and headed out to the cliffs overlooking the Bass to get in place before the sun rose for a good shot.

Nice light blue hues, and the right-of-centre composition. I've noticed with the new cam that I can see the bass rock from my window - will have to get a bass rock + n'berwick law shot done, but might be a while till I see it again with the weather like this!

This is super; the sunrise would be interesting (and I'm a sunrise/sunset nut!) but the fog and the sort of monotone punched by the stria of pink is wonderful...

Bill I like this just as it is...infact I think it's a great shot with that touch of pink in an otherwise grey/blue image. Yes I can see the beacon light. Bass Rock looks like one of those, 'loneliest places on the planet !!'
