Cicada Husk

Tokyo

The cicadas (called semi in Japan) are now all hatched and singing in the trees.
As part of their lifecycle, the young shed their skins to become adults, leaving their old husks behind.
This husk was on a wooden fence and back-lit by the sun.
The Olympus 12-40 lens has great close-up capabilty to get the details.
Although I would also like to have tried the hand-held focus stacking capability of the camera.

Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark III
1/80s f/3.2 at 40.0mm iso250 full exif
