Kushiro, Hokkaido

Mika sitting in front of me and paddling a canoe down the Kushiro river in Hokkaido.
We went on an escorted nature excursion in the snowy wetlands and saw many birds including Steller's and red-tailed sea eagles.
However, birds in flight photography was not possible from the canoe.

I like Mika's bright colours - that red and green certainly brighten up the surroundings. It looks cold though, especially on the water
