Liquor Shop

Ogikubo, Tokyo

One of the remaining old buildings in the area.
Slowly they are all being replaced with modern houses, but these old ones are more interesting.

This is quite an intriguing structure. Love the linearity in the various sections of vertical and horizontal lines. It does look convincingly retired, but one never knows . .

Amazing find Bill! A liquor shop mainly built of rusty corrugated sheets... V

Interesting. Too bad it can't be renovated to its original state.

Very interesting building, though I can't imagine living or working there...

Very interesting indeed. The soft light really brings out the character of this building. V

It looks a bit home made.

Given my age I am partial to older things. I agree, they often do not get the respect they deserve. V

Interesting that they have a sign in English out in Ogikubo!

The use of the fan is different and the use of what loos like sheet metal siding. It certainly is interesting. "V"

They aaaarrreee... but I can't help feeling that you really don't want to know what's being brewed in the bath tubs out the back here.
Or how.
Or what the bath tubs look like.

You are right ! With some restorations it could have been a nice old house to preserved. V.
