John Muir Country Park

A few pictures along one of my most favourite walks through Tyninghame, part of John Muir Country Park.
That is the real John Muir Country Park in Scotland (where Muir was born), not the other one in California :)
Although we don't mind our American friends borrowing Muir in this centennial of the National Park Service which he did much to bring about.
The walk takes you along sandy beaches, clifftops and through a woodland.

Wonderful trees with character. I wonder how many Americans know that John Muir was born in Scotland - I know I didn't!

The light and color are just spectacular in this great composition. Certainly some interestingly shaped trees as well. I grew a few miles from Muir Woods in California ;-).
