Black Beans, Black Day

It has been a very frustrating day. I ordered a network server from Amazon that was due to be delivered this morning.
At almost seven this evening it arrived. So I spent the whole day sitting indoors waiting.
So no time for a walk, to shop, or do anything useful. Dinner was a tin of black beans from the back of the cupboard.

And it was a year ago, I had to have Katie put to sleep, so the day didn't start well either.

Not a great day, but you managed a great meal. Katie was a wonderful companion...

I wouldn't mind a day like that. This looks delicious. V.

Nothing worse than waiting for a delivery ~ I feel your frustration!
And I'm sure the memories from a year ago weighed heavily on your mind. {{hugs}}

So frustrating - had the same problem when I needed some replacement drives for the NAS in a hurry!

Lovely photo of Katie, remember the good times you and she had.

Not the best memory but a very nice photo!V!

You still turned it into an appetizing meal! I can sympathize with a ruined day because of waiting, though.

I know it is little comfort, but tardiness of deliverymen and service people is pretty muh universal. My sympathies on your loss. She looks like she was a wonderful friend.

I dunno, that looks like a remarkably colourful, vibrant and saturated shade of black to me. A possibly rather tasty one as well.
Sorry to read the caption to last year's shot though.

You made a nice dish worth photographing with the Cilantro and Avocado.

Bill, I have had that kind of day before and they are no fun! Tomorrow will be brighter!

I understand your frustration! Love the shot of Katie in the snow.
