Harbour Grey

Dunbar

A dull day down at the harbour in Dunbar. The bollards here are actually old cannon fixed into the ground.
And last year I was walking close to here, around the Torness nuclear power station.

A dramatic point of view and composition.

It pulls double duty; one part bollard, one part the ultimate deterrent to illegal moorings.
I like the low angle on this; it really sweeps the field of vision into the picture.

Too bad all the guns aren't put to similar use.
Excellent photo.

Did they just fire the cannon to get it in there? :-)

Bill, this is one near postcard image. Really like the different fishing vessels. The shooting down low is an excellent thought. V.
