I am taking a weekend break at a hotel on the shore of Loch Awe in the highlands.
After an initial difference of opinion with the manager over what sort of room I should have as a single traveller,
even though I booked and paid for a double for single occupancy, I checked-in to a nice big double room with a loch view.
This is a fairly remote area, reached down a long and winding singe-track road.
So very quiet, but perfect after a hectic week at work.
I was going to wait for the sun to set a bit further but I was becoming live bait for the midges.
Unfortunately the internet is very slow, so I may not be able to comment until I get back home.
