I just finished morning jog when we spotted this hawk standing above. I was happy enough for the opportunity to snap a few shots of it being somewhat close not knowing that things were about to get much more interesting. The hawk dove down on a black squirrel on the ground not more than 4 meters from where I was standing. It could not hold on to it and continued its flight up t a low branch. Interestingly, the hurt squirrel ran away climbing up the same tree.
