I just returned from South Sudan, the newest nation in the world. I and a couple of colleagues were the first USAID Farmer-to-Farner volunteers. USAID works with NGOs to find volunteers and carry out the projects so the NGO for these projects was Catholic Relief Services (CRS). I taught people how to maintain the food quality of their fish, a second taught taking and recording important information on the fish catches from the White Nile and the third helped get the government fisheries office get organized with a mission statement, goal setting, etc.
