I grew these papayas in Alaska in my office. It just takes a a sunny window, soil temperatures above 61 degrees F, and a little tender loving care. Be sure to use varieties that produce fruit when they are just a few feet high, not the 20 - 30 foot ones. Indoors it takes about 1 and a half years. Put them outside on a warm sunny day, but don't sunburn them.
