The dry eggs and milt are hand mixed; the sperm is activated and then, after fertilization, the eggs are laid in a single layer (to the extent possible) on the window screen. This maximizes the oxygenated water to which the eggs are exposed and allows the larvae to swim away from the egg shells after they hatch. the incubation room is closed and darkened to incubate the eggs.
