The 20-litre yellow containers are called "saladi" containers because cooking oil comes in them to start with. But after they are emptied and cleaned out, they are often used by villagers to carry water from a spring or well to their houses. They also fit nicely on the bike rack of Peace Corps volunteers and thus can be used to transport fingerling tilapia (fish) from one farmer to the next.
