Beer Cricket

This is the national Peace Corps voluteer sport in Zambia. It involves knocking over beer bottles with a Frisbee. The oddity is that the winning team does not get to drink much beer and the losing team does. Everyone wants to win, though. PC Zambia long ago banned the sport. More's the pity. Great game.

It actually got going back in 1997-98 with the first ZAP class.

Does anyone have the formal beer cricket rules and regulations that were typed up some years ago? I'm an RPCV (LIFE '03 - '05)... I can't find them anywhere! Thanks, - Kyle Wilson

Yes.... the best game in the world. Played it in Zambia from 2004-2006.... was a champion one year in Serenji tournament. Keep the game going and pass it on to as many friends as you know! RPCV Justin McBride
