Originally numbered A2, the 702 service ran every hour between Sunningdale and Gravesend for several decades, but by the time this photo was taken, the route comprised a sole morning and evening peak journey only as far east as Victoria. RP33 is seen here emerging from the now demolished Staines Garage, at the start of the evening duty, which will take it to Victoria, back to Sunningdale and then a return to Staines.
